Meet the Teachers
Teacher Tami started working as a regular staff member at James Nisbet Nursery School in 2009. Tami was a parent and board member at the Nursery School from 2003-2009. She also spent time volunteering and substitute teaching at the Nursery School while her two children were participating in the program. Tami has over 16 years of experience working with children birth to five years of age in a variety of preschool and community based programs. At home she is a wife and a mother of two boys Nick and Zack and their puppy Roscoe. When she has free time she enjoys scrapbooking pictures of family and friends.
Teacher Judy has been teaching at James Nisbet Nursery School for over 24 years and has met many wonderful children and their families. She also feels very fortunate to have met lifelong friends working at the Nursery School. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband Gary, daughter Shannon and son in law Scott. She is very passionate about animal welfare and one of her most favourite things is cuddling and walking her pet dogs, Bailey and Elmo. She also loves baking, trying new recipes, card making, reading, and vacations at the beach.
Teacher Debbie has been working at James Nisbet Nursery School for over 15 years. She considers it a blessing that she has been able to make great friendships with her co-workers. Debbie and her husband Max have three grown children, Lindsay (husband Gini), Katherine (husband Jeff), and Matthew. She enjoys spending time with her family and along with her husband likes to spend time volunteering at their church. Debbie also enjoys running, cross country skiing, quilting, scrapbooking, and card making.
Teacher Kathy is the newest member to join the team at James Nisbet Nursery School. To the program she brings many years of training and invaluable experiences from working with children of the preschool age. Professionally she feels very honoured to have opportunities to help shape the growth and development of children. Personally Kathy devotes a lot of her time and energy to her family life. She is married and has two adorable young daughters (Kaylyn and Karley) and a ferocious 8 pound dog (Poochie). She also loves to capture moments and memories through photography and scrapbooking.
